Claro Vintage Glass Vase

A beautiful vintage Italian cased opaline glass vase in dusky rose and mauve, with a ruffled rim, optic ribbing throughout, and two elegantly applied clear glass handles with decorative scrolled terminals at both top and bottom. The body glows with a soft inner luminosity characteristic of cased opaline glass, where colored glass is layered over a white opaline base. The handles were attached with precise timing while the body was still warm, a technically demanding step in Venetian glassblowing.
