A stunning vintage French studio ceramic lidded box with a heavily textured chamotte clay body, matte white glaze, and lavish gold luster decoration. Raised dot bosses and impressed triangles encircle both the lid and body in a repeating geometric pattern, each element tipped in brilliant metallic gold applied and fired in a separate luster firing. The conical finial is a classic detail of French studio ceramics from the 1960s–70s.
