Evoni Vintage Ceramic Vase

A magnificent 1930s Bohemian Art Nouveau ceramic vase marked Amphora, Made in Czechoslovakia, confirming its origin from the celebrated Amphora works. The entire body is covered in deeply molded feather, scale, and gothic arch motifs in a matte stippled earth-tone glaze, studded throughout with individually applied glass cabochons in swirling blue, green, pink, and red that read like precious stones set into the surface. A row of green and pink cabochons crowns the dark-rimmed neck. The craftsmanship and ambition of this piece place it firmly in museum territory.
