Gia Vintage Ceramic Vase

A beautifully aged ceramic vessel in the celadon tradition, likely from China or Southeast Asia and dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The wide, squat form is decorated with a band of exposed terracotta triangles created using a resist technique, where areas of raw clay were protected from the glaze before firing. Fine incised scrollwork runs along the shoulder and foot, and a soft plum flush at the rim collar speaks to the natural variations of wood or kiln firing.
